How To Take Screen Captures in Windows 10
Even before I have told a lot of things to make your day-to-day working life easier, and today I am going to tell you a thing that allows you to take Screenshots on your Windows 10 PC in the easiest way.
This is a new way you can take screenshots in Windows 10 without additional third-party tools! With the latest update, Microsoft has added a new system-wide shortcut, allowing you to select a specific area of the screen and copy it to your clipboard.
You probably won't even realize that there are now even a tool in your Windows 10! And you can very quickly capture the selected area of your screen, the whole screen or, in one option so that you get an arbitrary shape around your chicks. The selected area is copied to the clipboard and you can also click to launch snipe and sketch with the previously displayed image!
Let's test it!
- First, find the Windows key on your keyboard and press this key:
- Windows + Shift + S
- Now a small box will pop up on the top of your screen.
- From here, you can choose one of the sniping modes: Rectangular snip, Freeform snip, or Fullscreen snip.
- When you select Rectangular or Freeform snip, select an area on the screen.
- As soon as you release the cursor, that area will be captured and copied to the clipboard. It also appears as a small notification window at the bottom right of your screen for a few moments:
- If you click on that notification window, it will open in the Snip & Sketch program. Are quite easy!
- Or open MS Paint or any other Image Editor of your choice and Paste (Ctrl + V) this image from the clipboard.
- The Snip & Sketch program has a strange user interface (why the Save option is on the right side, rather than the left side of the toolbar), but it's much easier to work in it once you familiarize yourself with the user interface. Two menus of importance:” New “and”•••". Here is the first menu:
- Delayed screen captures can be really helpful if you need to click to reveal a menu or otherwise to pre-capture somethings.
- In the” more “menu on” • • • " there is the Settings option, very important so that you know how the program works.
What is really surprising is that there is no way to automatically save your screen capture in Snip & Sketch. But this is a good way to capture a screen without any third party apps.
