Do you know what a system restore is? System Restore is one of the default Windows features or tools that allows users to restore Windows system to its previous state. This means that when you make changes to your Windows system and you encounter problems or errors, you can restore your windows to yesterday's state or to the previous date (before making any changes).
For some people, this system restore is definitely very important. But the existence of this System Restore will take up a lot of your hard drive space. The size can be gigantic. And for those who have started to have a full hard drive, of course, this System Restore will be a bit boring because it takes up a lot of hard drive space. Even System Restore on my laptop had once fetched 20GB, and sure enough it wasn't a small size. If it is used to save photos, it can be used to store thousands of photos.
How to turn off System Restore
For those of you who don't want this System Restore feature to be active, you can turn it off easily. How to turn off System Restore is not difficult, you can see the steps below:
- You must first enter the Control Panel menu . One way to access the Control Panel menu is to use Run . Press Windows + R button then type "control panel " as in the image below.
- Then select System and Security .
- Select System .
- Then select System Protection .
- To turn off System Restore, select Local Disk (C :) (system) and click Configure .
- Select Disable system protection , then click Ok . Finished
